This I would say is one of my best works I've ever done. This is Sanzo from Saiyuki anime tv show and manga. This was made using a scratchboard as my medium. It was orignally an art class project using scratchboard. It was also my first time using one of these scratcboards. Before Is started on it I needed to decide on a pic. So I used a pics drawn by Kazuya Minekura creator of Saiyuki. I redrew the pic into a black and white version and re-redrew in ontop of the scratchboard wich would be the carving map. Then take the sracthboard knife and start ecthing out the white. The project took me hours to finish but It was really fun to work on it. In the end my theacher was inpressed by my work and dedication.

It was hard trying to do shadows on a scratchboard. Normally you'd have to use crosshatching, thou i tried my best to imatate it I dont think it came out all that well.
